The globe called Starlab is a puzzle made of twenty-six sections. The celestial equator bands are illustrated with zodiac constellations, moon, sun, and planets.

Starlab is an educational pursuit in the areas of Geography, Astronomy, and Mathematics. The name of this puzzle is inspired from the ancient astronomical tool Astrolabe.

The picture demonstrates prototype of this innovative puzzle. Challenge in this 3D puzzle is to rotate the hemispheres and return the arrangements of maps, zodiac figures and matching colors to its original pattern.

This puzzle has a mechanism similar to Quarks with possibly six hemispheres at different orientation and eight symmetrical pieces on It’s surface. There are no finger holes for this puzzle. Thus, the interior of this ball remains invisible unless it is opened. The name of this puzzle is inspired from the ancient astronomical tool Astrolabe.
